Fans of the Washington D.C. Current have grown to expect amazing plays from Delrico Johnson. For four seasons, the veteran cutter out of Towson University has been ruling the skies across the Eastern Conference of the MLU. With speed and athleticism, Johnson has seemed to always be in the right moment at the right time to make the amazing play.

One of those moments came as the Current faced off against the New York Rumble in Week 4 of the 2015 MLU Season in New York. Early in the 4th quarter, the Current found themselves trailing the hometown Rumble 10-13, when New York handler Robbie Gillies launched a long huck down the far sideline looking for the score. Gillies’ target, Rumble veteran Chris Mazur, had already beaten his defender and looked to be in prime position for the catch when, out of nowhere, a streaking Johnson leaps above Mazur’s head to snag the disc out of the sky.

The Current would end up losing the game (BOXSCOREWATCH GAME), but Johnson’s amazing grab would end up on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 and go down as one of the best catches in MLU history.
