The D.C. Current announced today that The Greene Turtle will be the official sports bar and grille of the D.C. Current and Major League Ultimate.

Throughout the season, The Greene Turtle at the Verizon Center in downtown Washington, D.C. will host the Current’s pre- and post-game celebrations which will include opportunities to watch Current games at the bar.

“The Greene Turtle is thrilled to be the official sports bar & grille of the D.C. Current and MLU because of our shared passion for the love of sports, community and having fun,” said The Greene Turtle’s Brand Ambassador, Meredith Wagner. “We believe in being a community hangout for all ages, that serves great food and drinks in a fun, casual atmosphere built on the excitement and unity of sports.”

The Greene Turtle will also promote the D.C. Current on their events calendar and social media accounts.

A local hangout for all ages, The Greene Turtle at the Verizon Center is the ideal sports destination for D.C.’s ultimate frisbee champions.

On December 18, The Greene Turtle at the Verizon Center hosted the 2014 MLU Championship Ring Ceremony where the 2014 D.C. Current players and fans celebrated the team’s first MLU Championship.

General Manager Matt Dewhurst. “As the DMV’s premiere local sports bars, The Turtle has always been linked to the amazing history of D.C. sports and we are proud to join those ranks, especially after our own championship season.”
